The Rolling Stones Just Built a Game on Roblox That Takes You Through 60 Years of Rock History
The Rolling Stones have launched a game on Roblox, which went live on July 10, the same day the band dropped their new album, Foreign Tongues. If you're wondering what one of the world's most legendary rock bands is doing on a platform primarily known for being played by kids, the answer is actually pretty clever.

What the Game Is
The experience takes you through 60 years of the Rolling Stones' history, decade by decade. Each era has its own section, soundtracked by a classic Stones track from that period. The goal is to find and break crystals scattered around each decade, and as you do, a giant version of the band's famous tongue-and-lips logo lights up and powers you through to the next era.
It's designed to be played with others, and the whole thing is meant to feel like a journey through the band's career rather than just a branded promotional space. The finale runs from July 17 to 19, where a new Rolling Stones era plays out every hour with rotating hits and a big interactive light and video show.
The Merch Angle Is Genuinely Interesting
Roblox brought in creators from around the world to redesign the Rolling Stones' iconic logo into avatar items you can wear in the game. But here's the part that stands out: those same designs are also available as real, physical merchandise through an in-game Shopify link that takes you directly to the band's online store.
So you can go from a virtual avatar item to an actual physical product without leaving the game. That's not something you see often.
About the New Album
Foreign Tongues is the Rolling Stones' 25th studio album and their first since Hackney Diamonds in 2023. It was recorded in under a month at Metropolis Studios in London, and the guest list is impressive: Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood, and Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chili Peppers all feature.
There's also a recording from the late Charlie Watts, captured during one of his final sessions before he passed in 2021. Four singles are already out, including one with Robert Smith of The Cure and another with a music video starring Anya Taylor-Joy.
