NODWIN Gaming and Sony Team Up for the Fourth Edition of PlayStation India Cup Featuring EA SPORTS FC 26
The PlayStation India Cup is back — and it’s getting bigger. NODWIN Gaming has announced the fourth edition of the tournament, featuring EA SPORTS FC 26 exclusively on the PlayStation 5, with a total prize pool of ₹4,00,000. The grand finale will take place at Delhi Comic Con 2025, giving India’s top console football players another chance to compete on one of the country’s biggest pop-culture stages.

India’s Only Official Console Esports Tournament Returns
This marks the return of India’s only official PlayStation esports tournament, which first gained traction during last year’s Comic Con event in Delhi. The 2025 edition brings back daily online qualifiers followed by playoffs, leading up to the final showdown from December 5 to 7 at NSIC Grounds, Okhla.
The top eight finalists will not only battle for the ₹4 lakh prize pool but also take home official PlayStation merchandise — a nice bonus that adds to the excitement of making it to the main stage.
How Players Can Register
Registration opens on October 8, 2025, and participation is open to PlayStation 5 users across India. Here’s how to sign up:
- Turn on the PS5 and connect it to the internet.
- Head to the Events or Tournaments section on the dashboard.
- Look for the listing titled PlayStation India Cup FC 26.
- Follow the on-screen steps to complete registration.
- Confirm participation and keep an eye on notifications for match details.
The daily online qualifiers run until November 10, so players are encouraged to register early.
A Growing Console Esports Community
Talking about the event, Akshat Rathee, Co-founder and Managing Director of NODWIN Gaming, said the PlayStation India Cup reflects the rising interest in console-based esports in India.
“The console esports scene in India is a premium niche, and the PlayStation India Cup with EAFC captures that perfectly,” Rathee noted. “Delhi Comic Con provides the ideal stage where fans of both pop culture and competitive gaming come together.”
The finals will be held inside NODWIN Gaming’s 40,000 sq. ft. Gaming Arena at Comic Con, giving fans a space to compete, watch, and experience EAFC in a full-fledged festival environment.
What Makes This Edition Different
Beyond the prize money, this year’s India Cup will be powered by influencer-led content, weekly live streams, and community updates to keep players and fans engaged throughout the tournament.
The collaboration between PlayStation and NODWIN Gaming signals how gaming in India is gradually moving beyond PC and mobile — building space for console esports that appeal to a smaller but highly dedicated crowd.
