PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for January: Resident Evil Village, Like A Dragon, and More
Sony has rolled out its January PlayStation Plus Game Catalog update, adding a mix of blockbuster franchises, horror experiences, and slower-paced indie titles for Extra and Premium subscribers.

The new lineup is now available to play across PS5 and PS4. Premium members also get a classic racing title as part of this month’s update.
Resident Evil Village (PS5, PS4)

Resident Evil Village anchors the lineup with its blend of survival horror and story-driven exploration. Set a few years after Resident Evil 7, the game follows Ethan Winters as he’s drawn back into danger just as he tries to live a quiet life with his family. The village itself plays a key role, filled with secrets, hostile environments, and encounters that steadily build tension.
Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth (PS5, PS4)

Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth brings the Yakuza series to new locations and a broader emotional scope. The story follows Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu, moving between Honolulu and Tokyo. Alongside its hybrid RPG-style combat, the game leans heavily on character-driven storytelling and side activities, making it a long, immersive experience rather than a quick playthrough.
Expeditions: A MudRunner Game (PS5, PS4)

Expeditions: A MudRunner Game focuses on exploration over speed. Players lead scientific missions across deserts, forests, and mountainous regions, navigating rough terrain using all-terrain vehicles and specialized tools like drones and scanners. Progress depends on planning routes, managing resources, and adapting to unpredictable environments.
A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead (PS5)

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is a single-player horror adventure inspired by the film franchise. Set after an invasion by deadly creatures, the game follows a young woman trying to survive a collapsing world while dealing with personal and family tensions. The experience emphasizes atmosphere and vulnerability rather than action-heavy combat.
Darkest Dungeon II (PS5, PS4)

Darkest Dungeon II brings its grim roguelike structure to PlayStation. Players guide a group of flawed heroes on a journey through a decaying world, managing relationships and difficult decisions along the way. The game rewards careful planning and persistence, with progress shaped as much by failure as success.
The Exit 8 (PS5, PS4)

The Exit 8 offers a short but unsettling experience built around observation. Set in an endless underground passageway, the game challenges players to spot subtle anomalies in their surroundings. Moving forward or turning back at the right moment is the key to escape.
Art of Rally (PS5, PS4)

Art of Rally delivers a stylized take on rally racing inspired by the sport’s classic era. The top-down perspective and minimalist visuals set it apart, while the driving itself demands precision. The game spans dozens of stages across multiple countries and includes daily and weekly challenges for players chasing leaderboard times.
A Little to the Left (PS5, PS4)

A Little to the Left rounds out the catalog with a calmer puzzle experience focused on sorting and organizing household objects. Many puzzles offer multiple solutions, encouraging experimentation. A mischievous cat occasionally disrupts the order, adding light humor to the otherwise relaxed pacing.
Ridge Racer Joins PlayStation Plus Premium (PS5, PS4)

For PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers, Ridge Racer is now available as part of the classics catalog. Originally released on the first PlayStation, the game returns with modern features like up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and customizable video filters. It keeps its arcade-style racing intact, offering both battle and time trial modes.
