Rovio Launches Angry Birds Fight! and Angry Birds Stella POP! Mobile Games

Rovio's Angry Birds, which is one of the biggest mobile game, was snatched by the other games such as Candy Crush Saga and Puzzle & Dragons.

Both the Candy Crush Saga and Puzzle& Dragons involves match-three puzzle game play, which is matching three or more similar items in order to get the points.

Rovio Launches Angry Birds Fight! and Angry Birds Stella POP!

After the information leaked, Rovio has accepted and even launched two games namely Angry Birds Stella POP! and Angry Birds Fight! in Canada and Thailand respectively.

In Angry Birds Fight, users needs to match the birds to battle enemies, which sounds similar to Puzzle & Dragons. Meanwhile Angry Birds Stella POP, looks like a Bubble Witch Saga and Bust-a-Move, where you pop bubbles to defeat the pigs.

Rovio launched these games to build on the popularity of the Angry Birds games, which was at its peak in late 2012 with 263 million monthly active players.

As the monthly active players has shrunk to 200 millions, Rovio announced that it going to lay off 16 percent of its workforce.

Rovio has already switched to freemium model for latest Angry Birds games in new genres, including racing game Angry Birds Go!, role playing game Angry Birds Epic, and branded action title Angry Birds Transformers.
