The coolest thing about technologies is that they adapt to the already existing technologies and the ones which are conceptualized and ready to come out. Video gamer's are the luckiest of the bunch that get the opportunities to have fun with new high end technologies, which would be implemented in video games as well as in video game consoles.
Basically, new technologies and the concepts for newer ones come from the minds of many innovative and creative thinkers. There are determined and dedicated game designers out there who always keep thinking of ways to improve the gaming experience, mostly by integrating the games with some new technologies. It was this idea, which led to the invention of joypads and other controller accessories for video gaming in computers.
MetalCompass, popular smartphone video games and accessories developing company, recently revealed a revolutionary piece of technology for smartphone/Tablet gamers. The MetalCompass products named Xappr and Micro-Xappr Gun will impress gamers who love First person shooter (FPS) video games.
Playing first person shooters with a keyboard and mouse is way easier than playing FPS with analog controllers in video game consoles. The reason is obvious. You have to move the crosshair in the screen with the direction pad in the controller, precisely and quickly in the right direction so as to shoot an enemy down, in the games.
But what if you have a gun for yourself and you just need to point and shoot…….at the enemies in the screen of course and the gun is an advanced new controller. Playing FPS in smartphones and tablets is going to be easy with Micro-Xappr gun. Xappr gun controller was a hit when it was showcased at the International Toy fair in Germany. But disappointingly, Xappr gun is of no use in playing popular games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Quake and even Counter-Strike.
But, the users of Xappr and Micro-Xappr guns would be lucky to play an array of specially designed augmented-reality shooting games. The games support the Micro-Xappr gun in assaulting alien space crafts, shoot zombies, neutralize ghosts and evil robots etc. It has also been reported that the games would also let the users of the Xappr gun play them online with friends using the controller.
Taking the form of ATK game, the Xappr and Micro-Xappr compatible multiplayer online games allow the users’ access to various weaponries that they can use in the game which would simulate exciting combat scenarios.
The online multiplayer games will feature 3 battle modes:
Last man standing mode
Xappr and Micro-Xappr guns will be compatible with iOS, Android and Windows handsets and can be pre-ordered for a price of Rs 2,000/- approximately.
