Zynga Announces New Version of Social Game ‘CityVille’
Zynga, a pioneer in gaming has announced the launch of new version of the popular social game ‘CityVille’. The latest version being released is a 3-D version which comes with new additions including a mystery story sequel of the popular online social game. Zynga claims that the previous version of the game was a runaway success as it gave players the ability to enjoy an entirely social and fun city building experience.
Mark Nelson, the Director of the game sequel stated CityVille 2 to be a game that immerses players in a storyline filled with interesting characters. The game delivers a beautiful 3-D town where gamers can get engaged in competition with their friends while they build a unique city. The original version of CityVille was successful and was able to attract a whopping 100 million monthly users since t was launched two years ago. The current figures indicate that only one-fifth of those numbers of players are active now.
The game developer is optimistic with the launch of the 3-D version of CityVille 2 .3-D version of the revamped ‘Farmville’ was released in September. The 3-D version of Farmville was successful in attracting more than 64 million players on a monthly basis as per the reports given by Application Metrics Tracker AppData.
This new game will be made available for free and is expected to make its debut soon in the online gaming site Zynga.com. In the game, players will adorn the role of a mayor trying to revive the virtual city by means of giving instructions for the creation of homes, roads, museums, parks and businesses. There is also an online chat feature which allows players to interact with each other and consult in real time for building the city. The latest game also comes with new challenges for players to deal with situations such as fires, traffic and crime. The players will also have to find out what caused the explosion at the mayoral estate in the city. CityVille 2 will be rolled out in 15 languages globally.
