Amazon Announce New Fire TV 2 and Fire TV Omni QLED: Features
Amazon has announced two new variants for the Fire TV 2 series and three new sizes for the Fire TV Omni QLED lineup, expanding the brand's portfolio. While the TV 2 series arrive as budget TVs, the Omni QLED TVs offer better features such as Dolby Vision support and a better display.
Fire TV Omni QLED Features
The Fire TV Omni QLED series come in 43-inch, 50-inch, and 55-inch display sizes. The TVs feature 4K Quantum Dot technology for an immersive TV-watching experience. They also support up to 96 full-array local dimming zones.

The Omni QLED TVs feature support for Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ Adaptive, promising an enhanced cinematic experience. The TV automatically adjusts the brightness of the display, thanks to its inbuilt sensors.
The Fire TV Omni QLED features Fire TV Ambient Experience, which can transform the TV into a mini art gallery. In this mode, the TV is capable of showcasing thousands of free artworks. It can also be used to display photos, Alexa widgets, and other useful information.
The Fire TV comes with built-in mics for hands-free Alexa control. The TV also supports Alexa Home Theater, which can be used to connect your soundbar to an AV receiver or wirelessly pair your Echo speakers via the Alexa app.
Speaking of connectivity, the TV includes 4 HDMI inputs that can be used to connect to a cable or satellite. The QLED TV features privacy controls which will electronically disconnect the mics.
Amazon Fire TV 2 Series: Features
The Amazon Fire TV 2 series include two new models with display sizes of 32 inches and 40 inches. While the 32-inch model supports an HD resolution, the 40-inch variant features FHD resolution. Both variants include support for HLG, HDR 10, and Dolby Digital Audio.

As for connectivity, the TV includes two standard HDMI inputs. It has one HDMI ARC input for audio connections. The TV also supports Bluetooth, so you can pair your Bluetooth headphones for audio without disturbing people around you.
The Amazon Fire TV 2 series comes with Fire TV Alexa Voice Remote. The TV also gets upgraded Alexa functions and smart home capabilities. The device can also be used to play games via the Appstore, Twitch, and Amazon Luna.
Amazon TVs: Price, Availability
The Amazon Fire TV Omni QLED series pricing starts from $449.99 (around ₹37,043) in the US. The TVs are available for pre-order via Amazon and BestBuy, with sales commencing from May 11, 2023. Meanwhile, the latest Fire TV 2 series starts from $199.99 (around ₹16,463).
