Apple’s New iCloud+ Bundle Explained: Apple TV and Arcade Included in India

Apple is changing how it sells some of its paid services in India, with iCloud+ becoming the main entry point for Apple TV and Apple Arcade. Starting this month, iCloud+ subscribers in India will get both services at no extra cost, bringing cloud storage, video streaming and gaming into one monthly plan.

The expanded iCloud+ subscription will start at Rs 75 a month for 50GB of storage. Higher storage tiers will also remain available, and the plan can be shared with up to five family members. Apple said the rollout will happen through September, so availability may appear in phases for users.

What Changes for Apple TV and Apple Arcade Users

The biggest change is for customers who currently pay separately for Apple TV or Apple Arcade through Apple in India. Apple will end standalone direct subscriptions for both services in the country. Existing individual subscriptions will be cancelled, but users will continue to get access through iCloud+ once the transition is completed.

Apple has said access will remain uninterrupted during the move. For Arcade users, game progress and saved data will also be preserved. This is important because Apple Arcade is tied closely to ongoing gameplay, device switching and family use, especially for users playing across iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV devices.

Apple is also adding a new feature called Apple Select, which will sit inside the Apple Music app. It will be available only to iCloud+ subscribers and will offer an exclusive collection of music. However, Apple Music itself is not included in the new iCloud+ bundle.

How the New iCloud+ Bundle Compares with Apple One

The move also affects Apple One, Apple’s broader services bundle. Apple One will close to new subscribers in India, though existing subscribers will be allowed to continue with their current plans. This means new customers who want Apple’s combined storage and entertainment package will be pushed towards iCloud+ instead.

Apple One currently has two plans in India. The Individual plan costs Rs 195 a month and includes 50GB of iCloud+ storage. The Family plan costs Rs 365 a month and includes 200GB of storage, shareable with up to five other family members. Both plans include Apple Music, Apple TV and Apple Arcade.

That makes Apple Music the key difference for users comparing the two options. The new iCloud+ bundle adds Apple TV and Apple Arcade to storage, but does not replace Apple One for users who also want Apple Music included in one monthly payment.

Why Apple is Making iCloud+ More Central

The change makes iCloud+ more than a storage upgrade. Many iPhone users buy extra iCloud storage only when free space runs out for photos, backups and messages. By adding Apple TV and Apple Arcade, Apple is turning that practical storage need into a wider services subscription.

For existing iCloud+ users, the immediate gain is simple: access to Apple’s streaming and gaming services without a separate bill. For Apple, the bundle could introduce more paying customers to services they may not have subscribed to individually, while giving users another reason to keep their iCloud+ plan active.

Airtel customers with iPhones will also be able to access the expanded subscription through eligible postpaid plans. Users already receiving Apple TV through select Airtel plans can move to the new arrangement at no extra cost. Apple has said availability of shows, games and features may differ by country, region or device.
