Google rolls a out a new feature that makes Home Mini a better deal
Google rolls out anew update for its smart home products.
Google Home speakers just got some useful features that would come in handy for audiophiles. The company has rolled out a new update to its Home app that would allow users to connect Assistant-enabled speakers to connect with any Bluetooth speakers.
It easy to set, all you need to do is pair a Bluetooth speaker to the Google Home through the app and music and podcasts will automatically play on the connected speaker. You can also connect multiple speakers that will enable you to play music in different rooms using just the voice commands. But if you want to talk to the Assistant, you will still have to use the Google Home.
This might seem like a very small update, but it's a welcomed upgrade for the audiophiles seeking extra punch for music. The update also makes the $49 Google Home Mini a better deal as it helps the speaker boost its lackluster audio. Though the mini variant is enough to fill a decent sized area with its sound, it still doesn't have the richness of its bigger sibling. But with support for Bluetooth speakers, users can now connect any of the existing speakers without giving up on the convenience of Google Assistant.
If the reports are to be believed, the search giant is planning to bring the Home Mini to the Indian market in April alongside Google WiFi mesh router and few other smart home products.
Google Home Mini is a compact smart speaker, which makes use of Google Assistant. The device is made using a mesh or fabric material and features four LED lights on top to notify the users when it is in use. The Google Home Mini can perform a number of tasks by taking voice commands as the input. Some of these tasks include getting weather updates, listening to the news, playing music, and the ability to control IoT or smart home devices.
Speaking of the Assistant, Google has announced support for the Hindi language. The Assistant in Hindi is rolling out to Android phones 6.0+ (Marshmallow and above) and soon coming to Android 5.0 Lollipop, iPhones as well as Android Oreo (Go edition) devices. Over the last year, Google has launched the Assistant in Hindi in Allo, brought the English Assistant to more phones, and made a special version available for Reliance Jio feature phones. Now, more Indians can get help from their Hindi Assistant.
