Lumio Arc 5 and Arc 7 Smart Projectors Launched in India with Google TV, Netflix Support, and More

Lumio has officially launched two new home projectors in India, the Arc 5 and Arc 7, aiming to bring more reliable, midrange options to a market where most choices either compromise on features or cost significantly more.

These new models will be available on Amazon, with the Arc 7 arriving on July 12 and the Arc 5 following later this month.

A Small Market with Room to Grow

India’s home projector market is still very small—about 1% the size of the TV market. In contrast, projectors account for 15–20% of the home entertainment space in more developed countries. One of the reasons for the slow growth here has been the lack of solid midrange options. Most affordable projectors are under ₹12,000 and often fall short in usability and performance. Meanwhile, high-end models are priced out of reach for most.

Lumio seems to be trying to address this by offering projectors that are reasonably priced, run Google TV, and are certified for platforms like Netflix—a common pain point for users of generic Android-based projectors.

What Arc 5 and Arc 7 Bring to the Table

Both projectors use the company’s sealed “Arclight” engine that outputs Full HD (1080p) resolution and supports HDR10. The sealed design is intended to block dust from getting in, which is a practical feature in Indian homes. Both devices are relatively quiet, thanks to fewer moving parts and a basic airflow system.

Arc 5:

  • 200 ANSI lumens, suitable for darker rooms
  • 5W speakers with Dolby Audio
  • Lightweight at 1.33 kg, making it easier to move around
  • Targeted more toward smaller rooms or casual setups

Arc 7:

  • 400 ANSI lumens, better for brighter rooms
  • 2x8W stereo speakers
  • Aimed at living rooms or people who want more brightness and better sound

Both models project up to 100 inches, though that also depends on room conditions.

Smarter Setup, Fewer Adjustments

Setup is relatively straightforward. These projectors include auto-keystone correction, obstacle detection, and auto-focus using a TOF sensor. That should help users avoid the manual fiddling that comes with basic projectors. Both are powered by MTK 9630 chipsets, have 2GB RAM, and 16GB internal storage.

Runs Google TV and Supports OTT Apps Properly

Unlike many budget projectors that rely on patchy Android versions, these models run official Google TV, which means proper support for Netflix, YouTube, and other major streaming apps. The remote has voice support and includes quick-access buttons for the main platforms, along with Lumio’s own TLDR app—a simplified dashboard for sports and music updates.

Built in India, Tested for Local Conditions

Lumio says the projectors are built and tested in India to handle things like dust, humidity, and unstable power. While that may not sound like a big deal, it does address practical concerns that many imported devices ignore. There’s also a one-year warranty and support via 200+ service centers across the country.

Pricing and Availability

The Lumio Arc 7 will go on sale on Amazon.in starting July 12, 2025, at a retail price of ₹34,999. However, as part of Amazon’s Prime Day event, customers purchasing between July 12 and July 14 can get it at an early bird price of ₹29,999, which includes applicable card offers.

The Lumio Arc 5, priced at ₹19,999, will become available in the last week of July, also via Amazon.
