Optoma UHD51A, UHD51 and UHD50 4K projectors launched: Price, specs and more
Optoma takes home entertainment to the next level with the Alexa integrated projector.
Optoma has announced the launch of a slew of 4K projectors - UHD51A, UHD51, and UHD50 in India. The UHD51A carries the credits of being the world's first home theater projector to support Alexa. Initially, these projectors were unveiled at the CES 2018 tech show in January.
The UHD51A features an inbuilt media player, a pair of HDMI 2.0 input ports along with HDCP 2.2 support. This will make the projector compatible with the latest 4K UHD video playback devices as well as game consoles with HDR at a refresh rate of 60 Hz.
The other two projectors do not support the Alexa voice assistant. These 4K projectors are designed using the latest 4K UHD DLP technology from Texas Instruments. This technology lets the device produce 8.3 million unique pixels.
The new Optoma projectors come with a 4K precision lens to render crystal clear details in the images. There are over 8.3 million on-screen pixels. The new series of projectors meet the CTA (Consumer Technology Association) requirements for 4K UHD and complies with the HDR compatible display standards too. These new products offer RGBRGB color wheel, a 500:000:1 contrast ratio and HDR10 with Rec.2020/DCI-P3 wide color gamut compatibility.
These new projectors are capable of delivering up to 300 inches with vertical lens shift and 1.3X zoom for easy installation. The series comes with a Quiet operation and weighs in around 5.34 kg. The noise level will be up to 25dB. It has a lamp life of up to 15,000 hours.
When it comes to the pricing, the UHD50, UHD51, and UHD51A are priced at Rs. 250,000, Rs. 265,000, and Rs. 285,000 respectively.
Commenting on the launch, Gordon Wu, Vice President at Optoma APAC, "Continuing our success with the launch of the Optoma UHD65 and UHZ65 4K projectors this past fall, Optoma is once again putting the industry's most innovative and cutting-edge 4K technologies into the hands of consumers with UHD51A, UHD51, and UHD50. As leaders in the ultra-high-definition home cinema market, we're happy to introduce the new generation of 4K resolution projectors to continue providing our customers cinema-quality viewing experiences at incredibly accessible prices."
