Samsung Unveils World's First 115-Inch Micro RGB TV - What's New?
Samsung has launched the Micro RGB TV, marking a significant advancement in display technology. This 115-inch screen is the first to incorporate a micro-scale RGB LED backlight. It sets a new standard for colour accuracy, contrast and immersive viewing in the ultra-premium TV segment. Let's take a look at the features, pricing, and availability.
Samsung Micro RGB TV Features
The Micro RGB TV is built on Samsung's proprietary Micro RGB Technology, which arranges tiny red, green, and blue LEDs, each smaller than 100 µm, in a precise pattern behind the screen. This setup allows for meticulous control over each LED, unlike traditional backlighting methods.

Equipped with Samsung's Micro RGB AI engine, this TV optimises both visuals and audio through artificial intelligence. The engine analyses frames in real time to enhance colour output, delivering lifelike images. The AI also identifies scenes with muted colours and boosts them for a more vibrant experience.
The TV features Micro RGB Precision Color technology, ensuring colours are displayed accurately and vividly. It achieves full colour coverage of BT.2020, an international standard for colour accuracy set by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Additionally, it has received 'Micro RGB Precision Color' certification from the Verband der Elektrotechnik (VDE), a leading German electrical engineering certification institute.
Moreover, Samsung's Micro RGB TV includes Glare Free technology to reduce reflections even in bright environments, enhancing viewer comfort. Its sleek metal design offers a minimalist aesthetic that complements any room decor.
The TV provides cutting-edge AI technologies such as AI-enhanced picture and sound quality. It also features an advanced Bixby voice assistant powered by generative AI for a more interactive user experience without leaving the screen.
It is also protected by Samsung Knox, a top-tier security solution safeguarding users' personal data. Lastly, Samsung offers a 7-year free Tizen OS Upgrade program, ensuring ongoing software enhancements and long-term support.
Availability
The Samsung Micro RGB TV is now available in Korea for KRW 44.9 million (around Rs 28,32,440). Samsung also confirms it will launch in the USA soon, with plans for a global rollout featuring a variety of sizes in the future.
