Sonos Arc Ultra, Sub 4, and Era 100 Pro Officially Launched in India: Check Price, Specs, Availability

Sonos has introduced three new products to its audio lineup: the Arc Ultra soundbar, the Sub 4 subwoofer, and the Era 100 Pro speaker.

These new additions are designed to elevate the home theatre experience and provide professional-grade audio for larger installations.

Arc Ultra Soundbar: A New Take on Home Audio

The Sonos Arc Ultra is the latest in the company's lineup of soundbars. It features Sound Motion technology, which is designed to improve bass output while keeping the transducer size compact.

According to Sonos, the Arc Ultra delivers nearly double the bass of its predecessor while creating a 9.1.4 spatial audio experience.

The soundbar is equipped with 14 custom-engineered drivers, including tweeters with waveguides and a Sound Motion woofer. This setup is designed to optimize playback for multi-dimensional audio, making movie scenes and music feel more immersive. Sonos collaborated with movie producers Chris Jenkins and Onnalee Blank to fine-tune the soundbar for realistic sound reproduction.

One of the key features of the Arc Ultra is its focus on vocal clarity. It includes a new center channel architecture that aims to make dialogue crisper and easier to understand. Users can adjust the Speech Enhancement settings through the Sonos app for more clarity, especially during action-heavy scenes.

Sub 4 Subwoofer: Boosted Low-End Sound

Alongside the Arc Ultra, Sonos introduced the Sub 4, a redesigned subwoofer aimed at improving low-frequency output. The Sub 4 features dual custom woofers placed in a force-canceling configuration to minimize distortion and unwanted vibrations.

The subwoofer also comes with an updated matte finish and improved WiFi connectivity. Sonos has increased the processing power and memory in the Sub 4, making it more capable of handling demanding audio streams. It's designed to work seamlessly with the Arc Ultra, delivering deeper bass and a fuller sound experience.

Era 100 Pro: Built for Professional Installations

The Era 100 Pro is Sonos' first speaker designed specifically for professional installations in both residential and light-commercial spaces. The speaker supports Power over Ethernet (PoE+), allowing it to receive both power and data through a single cable. This makes it easier to install and reduces the need for multiple connections.

The Era 100 Pro also introduces Zones, a software tool that lets users manage multiple speakers in larger installations. This is particularly useful for environments like restaurants, offices, and high-end residences. It also features 360-degree rotation and 30-degree pan and tilt for more flexible placement.

Sustainable Design and Better Connectivity

Sonos has also made some design improvements aimed at sustainability. The Arc Ultra uses more screws and fewer adhesives, which Sonos says will make it easier to repair and recycle. Its packaging is 100% recyclable, and the Sub 4 now consumes 50% less power when idle compared to its predecessor.

Availability and Pricing

The Arc Ultra and Sub 4 are now available in India, priced at ₹99,999 and ₹84,999 respectively. The Era 100 Pro is available exclusively through Sonos partners specializing in professional installations.
