Sony Premium Bravia Theatre Trio, Bar 7, Bar 5, More Launched in India: Price, Features, Models, Availability
Sony has introduced a new Bravia Theatre home audio range in India, giving buyers more ways to build a living-room cinema setup around compatible Bravia televisions. The line-up includes the Bravia Theatre Trio, Bar 7, Bar 5, Sub 9, Sub 8, Rear 9 and Rear 8, with prices starting at Rs 29,990 and going up to Rs 1,69,990 at launch.
The launch is aimed at users who want more immersive TV audio without committing to a single fixed soundbar configuration. Sony is offering separate soundbars, wireless subwoofers and rear speakers, along with a new Bravia Direct Connect feature that allows some Bravia TVs to pair directly with select speakers.

Sony Bravia Theatre Trio Leads the New Audio Range
The Bravia Theatre Trio is the flagship product in the new range. It uses separate left, centre and right speaker units instead of a single bar-shaped design. Sony says this layout helps create a wider front soundstage and improves dialogue positioning, especially when used with large-screen televisions.
The system supports Dolby Atmos and DTS formats. When paired with the Bravia Theatre Sub 9 and Rear 9, it can create up to 24 virtual phantom speakers using Sony’s spatial audio processing. The Bravia Theatre Trio has an MRP of Rs 2,39,990, but will be sold at a launch price of Rs 1,69,990 from 1 July 2026.
Sony has also introduced two soundbars for buyers who prefer a more conventional setup. The Bravia Theatre Bar 7 is the higher-end model, with nine speaker units, up-firing and side-firing drivers, four passive radiators, Dolby Atmos support and IMAX Enhanced compatibility.
The Bar 7 uses Sony’s 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology to create virtual speakers around the room. It has an MRP of Rs 99,990 and will be available at a launch price of Rs 82,990 from 1 July 2026. The more affordable Bravia Theatre Bar 5 will go on sale from 18 August 2026 at Rs 29,990, against an MRP of Rs 37,990.
Subwoofers, Rear Speakers and Bravia Direct Connect
The Bravia Theatre Bar 5 is a 3.1-channel system and includes a wireless subwoofer in the box. It supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, and has a dedicated centre speaker for clearer speech. With compatible Bravia TVs, it also supports Sony’s Voice Zoom 3 feature for enhancing dialogue in films, shows and sports broadcasts.
For users building a larger surround setup, Sony has added two wireless subwoofers. The Sub 9 uses a 600W amplifier with a dual-subwoofer configuration and opposing drivers designed to reduce vibration. The Sub 8 uses a 300W amplifier and is positioned as the more accessible bass upgrade.
The Sub 9 will cost Rs 79,990 at launch, while the Sub 8 will cost Rs 34,990. Both will be available from 3 August 2026. Sony has also launched the Rear 9 and Rear 8 wireless rear speakers, priced at Rs 58,990 and Rs 39,990 respectively at launch. Both rear speaker models go on sale from 1 July 2026.

A key part of the new ecosystem is Bravia Direct Connect. It allows compatible Bravia televisions to connect directly with supported Bravia Theatre subwoofers and rear speakers, without requiring a soundbar as the central device. This gives users the option to add bass, rear channels or both in stages.
All seven products will be sold through Sony Centre and Sony Exclusive stores, as well as Amazon and Flipkart. The range shows Sony’s push towards modular home theatre systems in India, where buyers can start with a soundbar or TV-based setup and expand later with wireless speakers and subwoofers.
