Sony Launches BRAVIA 2 II 4K TV Series in India with Google TV, AirPlay Support, and More: Check Price, Specs

Sony India has introduced its new BRAVIA 2 II 4K TV series, offering a range of smart features, picture and sound enhancements, and integration with both Android and Apple ecosystems. The series is available in screen sizes from 43 inches to 75 inches.

Picture and audio enhancements

All models in the BRAVIA 2 II series use the X1 4K Processor, which improves picture clarity and reduces noise, especially in lower-resolution content. X-Reality PRO upscales content close to 4K resolution, and Motionflow XR is included to make fast-moving scenes appear smoother.

Audio is handled by twin down-firing speakers with 20W output, supported by Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Sony’s Clear Phase technology, which adjusts the sound profile for more balanced output.

Smart TV features

The TVs run on Google TV, giving access to over 10,000 apps and hundreds of thousands of shows and movies. They also support Apple AirPlay and HomeKit, allowing seamless integration with iPhones and other Apple devices.

A voice-enabled remote is included for hands-free control using Google Assistant.

Gaming and streaming features

For gamers, especially PlayStation 5 users, the TVs support Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and Auto HDR Tone Mapping via HDMI 2.1. The TV can switch between gaming and standard viewing modes automatically depending on the content.

The Sony Pictures Core app is included with support for PureStream at up to 80 Mbps, offering higher quality movie streaming and access to a rotating catalog of Sony Pictures titles.

Durability and design

The TVs feature X-Protection PRO, providing resistance to dust, humidity, lightning, and power surges—an important consideration for Indian households. The design includes a slim bezel for a more immersive screen presence.

The BRAVIA 2 II series is available across Sony Centers, major electronics retailers, and online platforms. Some models are available immediately, while others will follow in the coming weeks.
