Sony Launches 98-Inch BRAVIA 5 Mini-LED TV in India at ₹6.49 Lakh: Check Specs and Features
Sony India has officially launched the 98-inch BRAVIA 5 Mini-LED TV, marking its entry into the ultra-large TV segment.
The model, designated K-98XR55A, is positioned as a premium offering designed for customers looking to replicate a cinema-like experience in their homes.

Advanced Display Technology with AI Integration
At the heart of the BRAVIA 5 is Sony's Cognitive Processor XR, which combines artificial intelligence with cognitive intelligence to analyze and optimize picture quality based on how humans naturally perceive content.
This processor works in tandem with XR Backlight Master Drive, a proprietary backlighting system that controls an array of LEDs with precision dimming to achieve deep blacks and high peak brightness. The result is a wide dynamic range suited for both dark and well-lit environments.

The 98-inch BRAVIA 5 supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, providing enhanced visual detail and spatial audio. In addition, the television includes Studio Calibrated Modes tailored for specific streaming services like Netflix, Prime Video, and Sony Pictures Core.

These modes automatically calibrate the display for optimal picture quality across films, shows, and live sports.
Content Access via Sony Pictures Core
Sony is also integrating its SONY PICTURES CORE platform into the BRAVIA 5, giving users access to a library of movies in near-4K Blu-ray quality. The feature includes IMAX Enhanced titles and leverages the TV's display and audio capabilities to maximize playback fidelity.
