Story TV to Premiere AI-Integrated Historical Thriller The Bose Network on August 15

Story TV will premiere The Bose Network, a historical thriller based on the life and wartime movements of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, at midnight on August 15. The series has been produced using an AI-integrated production workflow, with AI used extensively during post-production to recreate period settings across multiple locations.

Set during the 1940s, the series moves across Calcutta, Kabul, Berlin and submarine interiors, covering four countries and four years of wartime history. According to Story TV, AI was used to develop and recreate these environments during post-production, allowing the production to move between different geographical and historical settings.

The Bose Network: Story and Cast

The series is based on research by author and Bose scholar Chandrachur Ghose and draws from archival material and documented accounts. It focuses on Bose's movements, the decisions surrounding them and the people involved in his wartime journey.

Lalit Marathe, one of the writers of Swades (2004), has written and directed the series. Joy Sengupta plays Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, while Sudip Sengupta serves as cinematographer. Mumbai-based production company Jar Pictures is the executive producer.

AI Used in Production

Story TV says AI currently contributes to around 50 percent of its production workflow. For The Bose Network, the technology was primarily used during post-production to create period environments and locations.

The production approach allowed the series to depict settings spanning four countries and the 1940s period without relying entirely on conventional physical production methods. Story TV said the workflow could also be adapted for future vertical-format productions.

Release Details

All episodes of The Bose Network will be available on the Story TV app from midnight on August 15. The series will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Story TV was launched by the Eloelo Group in 2025 as a mobile-first platform focused on vertical microdramas. The company said its library currently includes more than 2,000 shows and that its content has reached over 100 million users.
