How to Watch the Super Bowl 2025 Halftime Show Featuring Kendrick Lamar and SZA?

The 2025 Super Bowl halftime show will feature Kendrick Lamar as the main performer. Lamar, a 17-time Grammy winner and recipient of the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Music, recently won five Grammys for his track "Not Like Us." He previously performed at the 2022 Super Bowl with Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and Mary J. Blige. This year, he will headline solo but will be joined by Grammy winner SZA.

Lamar's choice to perform "Not Like Us" has stirred controversy due to its lyrics targeting Drake. This has led to Drake filing a lawsuit against Universal Music Group for defamation and harassment. The lawsuit claims the song falsely accuses Drake of being a pedophile and incites violence against him. It is uncertain how Super Bowl censors will manage the explicit content during the performance.

Anticipated Set List and Production Costs

The exact songs Lamar will perform remain undisclosed, but fans speculate he might include hits like "Swimming Pools (Drank)," "Humble," "DNA," and "Money Trees." Collaborations with SZA such as "All The Stars" are also expected. The performance is anticipated to last between 15-20 minutes and reportedly costs $10 million to produce, funded by Apple Music and the NFL.

Despite the extensive exposure from performing at the Super Bowl, artists do not receive payment for their halftime show appearances. However, this visibility often leads to significant increases in streaming numbers and publicity. For instance, Rihanna's Spotify streams increased by 640% after her 2023 Super Bowl performance, which was valued at $88 million in publicity.

Pregame Entertainment Lineup

The pregame entertainment will spotlight Louisiana talent. Jon Batiste will sing the national anthem, while Trombone Shorty and Lauren Daigle will perform "America the Beautiful." Ledisi is set to deliver "Lift Every Voice and Sing," adding to the event's musical diversity. The Kansas City Chiefs aim for their third consecutive title against the Philadelphia Eagles in this year's Super Bowl.

The Eagles are seeking their second win in this prestigious event. Scheduled for Sunday, February 9 at 6:30 p.m. ET or 05:30 am IST (Feb 10), the game will take place at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans and be broadcast nationally on Fox. Additionally, it will be available for free streaming in 4K on Tubi for the first time.
