Toshiba launches Alexa-enabled affordable TV series at IFA 2017

Well, Japanese company Toshiba has just announced a new range of TVs at the ongoing IFA 2017. As you might have guessed by now, the TVs come equipped with Amazon's voice assistant Alexa. Thanks to Alexa, users will be able to control the functions like turning the TV on and off, changing channels, adjusting the volume level and fast forward or rewind. However, you need to have an Echo or Echo Dot smart home hub within hollering distance.

The display size of the televisions ranger from 43-inch to 75-inch. In addition to Alexa, these new TVs from Toshiba arrive with 4K screen technology letting viewers enjoy the very best viewing experience, as well as up-scaling tech to make the best of lower resolution content.

Toshiba's Alexa TV range will be available for sale by the end of 2017 with prices beginning at 399 Euros (approximately Rs. 30,000).

To give you some perspective, Toshiba is not the first manufacturer to integrate Alexa voice control abilities into a TV. Earlier, a couple of companies including Sony had come up with Alexa-enabled TVs in the US. Some of you may be aware, if you get the Fire TV Stick or Box from Amazon, you will get some features of Alexa in any TV.
