Xiaomi launches 50-inch Mi TV 4C model with 4K UHD support

Xiaomi has announced the launch of a new model under its Mi TV 4C series. The variant comes with a 50-inch display and will be available for the Chinese consumers. The new smart TV will be up for pre-orders starting March 30 until April 2. The first sale is scheduled to take place on April 3.

The new 50-inch Mi TV 4C comes with ultra-narrow bezels and 4K HDR support. It offers 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution with 178-degrees viewing angle and 50Hz with direct type backlight. Additionally, it has a dynamic response of 9.5 milliseconds and has direct type backlight.

Under the hood, it has a 64-bit Cortex A53 quad-core processors clocked up to 1.5Ghz and paired with Mali 450 GPU. It is backed by 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The TV also features Dolby sound for an enhanced audio output.

On the connectivity front, the smartphone has AV, analog signal DTMB, and 3HDMI and 2 USB ports. For wired internet connectivity, the company has tucked in an Ethernet port.

Software-wise, it is running Xiaomi's proprietary PatchWall UI wrapped under Android OS. The company touts that the PatchWall interface uses artificial intelligence to predict content preferences based on user's browsing history. This software comes with deep learning technology that will learn about user's interests and recommend relevant content on the home screen. The PatchWall UI has apps that you will need in a smart TV just like the Play Store. The video content can be accessed from the Google Play movies subscription. The TV comes with Xiaomi's standard 11-button Bluetooth remote controller, that can perform a voice search.

Previously, the company launched its 43-inch and 55-inch models in the Mi TV 4C series. The 43-inch model comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage with support for Full HD content. The 55-inch variant, on the other hand, comes with 2GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage with 4K HDR support.

For Chinese customers, the 43-inch model sells at 1,849 Yuan, while the 55-inch model holds a price tag of 2,649 Yuan. The new 50-inch model, however, is priced at 2,199 Yuan.
