Xiaomi Mi TV 3S with 65 inch Curved 4K display launched to take on Samsung Curved UHD TVs

    Xiaomi has today announced two new Mi TV models in an attempt to expand its highly popular TV portfolio. Dubbed the Mi TV 3S, the all new TVs from Xiaomi come in two form factors - 43 inch and 65-inch Curved display respectively. The story however, doesn't end there!

    The Xiaomi Mi TV 3S 65 inch, apparently is the first TV from the Chinese maker. The all new Curved display sourced from Samsung comes with a resolution of 3840x2160p and a 4000:1 contrast ration. Xiaomi claims that the display provides 78% NTSC colour gamut. Interestingly, display isn't the main talking point of the Mi TV 3S, as the TV is hair thin at just 5.9mm!

    The 65 inch 4K TV from Xiaomi is powered by a quad-core MStar 6A928 chip with four Cortex A17 cores clocked at 1.4GHz each and a Mali T760 MP4 GPU. This is clubbed with 2GB DDR3 RAM and 8GB internal memory (eMMC 50).

    The TV can support up to H.265 4K video format at 60fps. Xiaomi is bundling in its Mi TV bar which comes with a 6-piece independent audio system along with the all new Curved display TV. It's worth noting that the Mi TV 3S also comes with support for DTS-HD and Dolby Audio support.

    Apart from this Xiaomi has also introduced a 43-inch flat display variant of the Mi TV 3S, which unlike its bigger sibling comes with support for 1080p at 60fps. Under the hood the 43-inch TV with a metal frame is powered by a MStar 6A908 chips and offers DTS Audio Dual decoding. Both the TVs comes with a WiFi, Ethernet, USB, HDMI ports and run on Android with the company's own MIUI interface on top.
