Xiaomi to launch Fire TV-powered FX Pro QLED TV Series in India on May 8

Xiaomi is once again gearing up to expand its television lineup in India. The company has officially announced the upcoming launch of its QLED TV FX Pro Series, scheduled for May 8, 2025, with availability through mi.com and Amazon.in.

While full technical details are still under wraps, Xiaomi is already spotlighting some of the features that set this range apart, particularly its Fire TV integration, Alexa support, and a renewed emphasis on gaming and cinematic visuals.

What Xiaomi Is Promising with FX Pro

In its teaser campaign, Xiaomi is using terms like FantastiQLED and brighter, bolder, and way beyond ordinary—but beneath the marketing lingo lies a set of serious features. The FX Pro Series will include:

  • Fire TV OS with Alexa voice control, making content discovery a more fluid and voice-driven experience

  • Vivid QLED visuals marketed as "FantastiQ colors" that aim to bring greater vibrancy and realism

  • Dedicated cinematic mode, designed to replicate the original vision of content creators

  • Game Booster Mode, a feature expected to enhance frame rate responsiveness and reduce input lag for smoother gameplay

  • Built-in speakers with deep bass, optimized for more immersive sound

Performance and Processing Power

Although Xiaomi hasn’t revealed full spec sheets yet, the FX Pro TVs are expected to mirror the hardware profile of the recently launched X Pro QLED 2025 Edition, which offers 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. These specs are sufficient for moderate app usage and local storage, especially for users who frequently stream or install additional services on their smart TVs.

At the heart of the FX Pro will likely be a quad-core processor, paired with a capable GPU, built to deliver fast boot-up times, minimal lag, and smooth transitions across apps and interfaces—key for a seamless smart TV experience.

Gaming Gets a Seat at the Table

Interestingly, Xiaomi is clearly aiming for crossover appeal with gamers too. With the Game Booster Mode, the company is promising a more responsive setup that could attract casual console or cloud gamers who want a lag-free, high-refresh-rate display without moving to a full gaming monitor.

Fire TV OS

With the FX Pro Series adopting Fire TV OS, Xiaomi is reinforcing its collaboration with Amazon. This move provides a different flavor of smart TV experience compared to the Google TV-powered variants that many other brands currently favor in India. For consumers, this means deeper Alexa integration and a familiar interface for those already within the Amazon ecosystem.

What We Don’t Know Yet

So far, Xiaomi has kept the pricing and exact hardware specifications under wraps. For reference, its existing X Pro QLED TV series in India starts at ₹31,999 for the 43-inch model and goes up to ₹64,999 for the 65-inch version.

These TVs support 4K QLED panels, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and Filmmaker Mode, and are powered by a MediaTek A55 chip with Mali-G52 GPU. Whether the FX Pro Series will follow a similar spec sheet or introduce something fresh remains to be seen.

Launch and Availability

The QLED TV FX Pro Series will officially debut in India on May 8, 2025, with sales expected to go live the same day on mi.com and Amazon.in. The official reveal will shed light on sizes, price tiers, and more comprehensive specs.
