Design
When I think smart TVs, Cellecor is not the first brand that comes to mind, even in the more affordable realm. However, at first glance, the CE-55U Pro immediately caught my eye with its near bezel-less design, which make the screen feel larger and far more immersive-something I usually expect from pricier models.

The metal frame adds a nice premium touch too. Unlike a lot of budget TVs that tend to feel flimsy or overly plasticky, the CE-55U Pro feels solid and well put together, which instantly gave me more confidence in its build. Additionally, all the ports on the TV are easily accessible on the back offering a solid blend of style and convenience. The Cellecor CE-55U PRO 4K QLED TV comes with two stands that can be attached to either side or a wall-mount kit, offering users flexibility while installing the TV.
Connectivity
Cellecor's 4K QLED TV features three HDMI ports on the back, including one ARC HDMI port. Additionally, you also get two USB ports, an RJ45 ethernet port, and an optical audio output. Wireless connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi (5GHz / 2.4GHz) and Bluetooth 5.0. The overall connectivity options are pretty solid, particularly for those who wish to use the TV for gaming.
Performance
The Cellecor CE-55U Pro features a 55-inch 4K QLED panel that immediately impressed me with its vibrant colours, deep blacks, and sharp details. Watching movies, gaming, or simply streaming everyday shows felt enjoyable, especially with 4K UHD content. Animated films looked particularly striking, with reds and blues popping off the screen and contrast levels holding up well in fast-moving scenes.

The wide 178-degree viewing angle also meant picture quality remained consistent, even when watching with friends from different spots in the room. HDR10 support adds an extra layer of depth, though the panel's peak brightness, likely around 300-400 nits, doesn't deliver the same punch you'd get from higher-end models by Sony or Samsung.
For example, bright highlights in HDR content didn't feel as impactful, and that's where you're reminded this is a budget-friendly option. Still, I was pleasantly surprised by the minimal light bleed and solid black levels for an LCD-based panel, which made darker shows like Better Call Saul and anime with bold contrasts like JoJo's Bizarre Adventure enjoyable to watch.

Whether it was the warm, colourful palette of Ted Lasso, the gritty action of Mad Max: Fury Road, or the surreal visuals of One Piece, the TV handled everything with balance. The included presets-Vivid, Standard, Movie, Sport, and User-offer flexibility, and I found myself switching between them depending on what I was watching, which felt practical for real-world use. There's also an Energy Saving mode and HDR is automatically enabled for each mode when watching supported content.
I don't know the exact chip in the Cellecor CE-55U Pro TV, although it does come with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Additionally, it also runs on the Google TV interface to offer a clean, content-focused experience with access to all major streaming apps and personalized recommendations. The overall interface is excellent, and settings can also be mapped to the quick access button to pull them up quickly.

However, I didn't find the in-app experience the smoothest and at times switching between shows or skipping to a scene does feel a bit slow, nothing too troublesome. Although navigating between apps on the Home screen was smooth and access various settings did feel fluid. Unfortunately, the TV does lack any gaming features like VVR, ALLM, MEMC, etc, while there's no preset 'game mode' as well.
Overall, the Cellecor CE-55U Pro delivers impressive picture quality for its price, making it a solid choice for watching shows and movies. However, the absence of Dolby Vision, gaming features, and only average brightness remind you it's a budget 4K TV. Still, for everyday streaming and entertainment, it offers great value.
Audio
Audio performance on the Cellecor CE-55U Pro is quite respectable, with Dolby Audio support ensuring dialogue comes through clearly and everyday viewing feels immersive enough. For most shows and movies, the built-in 24W speakers deliver decent clarity and a touch of depth.

However, compared to some of its competitors, which boast more powerful audio systems that can fill a room without extra equipment, the sound here does fall a bit short. Bass is serviceable but lacks punch, and bigger action scenes or heavy music content might leave you wishing for a dedicated soundbar or subwoofer. While it gets the job done for casual use, audio is one area where the TV's budget positioning is evident.
Remote
Cellecor's latest QLED TV also comes with a voice-enabled remote in the box, which offers Google Assistant integration, allowing to you control the TV hands free. The choice to opt for a minimalist remote with limited buttons was a good one. There are dedicated buttons for Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and YouTube as well as a quick-access button that can be assigned anywhere between one to four functions.

While the remote buttons lack the tactile sharpness found on higher-end models, they get the job done for everyday use, although that didn't bother me too much because of the minimalist and functional design.
Verdict
The Cellecor CE-55U Pro makes a strong case as an affordable 55-inch 4K QLED TV. It delivers vibrant picture quality, solid black levels, and a user-friendly Google TV interface, all wrapped in a sleek design that feels more premium than its price suggests.

For everyday streaming, movies, and casual gaming, it performs reliably, though the average brightness, lack of Dolby Vision, and absence of advanced gaming features remind you of its budget positioning. Audio is serviceable but benefits from external speakers. Overall, it's an excellent option for the price, but it's worth noting that several competitors in this segment offer more features, though that extra value can sometimes come at the cost of accurate colour tuning and overall picture balance.
