F&D T388 Bluetooth soundbar and wireless subwoofer was launched at a price point of Rs. 12,990. With a competitive pricing, this soundbar will come as a rescue to those who do not want to shell out a lot of money to get a better audio experience from their TV.

Not many people will be satisfied with the sound output and audio performance of their TV. It is the very same reason that many people opt for home theater sets, soundbars, and other speaker sets. This is the option left out for the TV viewers if they wish to enjoy an immersive audio experience.

But not all users be ready to spend a lot of money on these speakers and soundbars. This is where the F&D T388 soundbar comes to play. While we know that is soundbar is pocket-friendly, here is a detailed review of the same after a week's usage.

In the box

The T388 Sub woofer comes in two boxes - one with the soundbar and the other with the subwoofer. There is a 90 cm long two-channel sound bar that has 2-inch speakers and 1-inch tweeters on the either sides. Also, there is a large wireless subwoofer box.

There is a remote powered by two AAA batteries in the box and the necessary optical and co-axial cables to connect the soundbar to the power outlet. The package comes with wall mounts to mount the soundbar and a quick start guide to help you with the setup.

Design

The F&D T388 soundbar looks pretty sleek and attractive. There are screws in the box to mount it on the wall. The soundbar has the F&D branding and white LED indicators at the center. There are multiple connectivity options that are displayed at the front and the ports are at the rear of the soundbar. The subwoofer has a Bluetooth indicator on top and a speaker at the front.

The control buttons are present on the top of the soundbar as shown in the image. You can also use the remote control to operate the soundbar. The remote has controls to increase or reduce the bass level as well.

We could easily position the soundbar below the center table on which the Sony Bravia 32-inch TV unit is positioned. Also, we placed the subwoofer next to the TV unit.

Connectivity

The T388 soundbar comes with input options such as Bluetooth, RCA, optical and co-axial port. There is support for USB OTG that lets us connect pen drives and other USB devices up to 32GB. Also, with the AUX feature, it is possible to pair our smartphones with the soundbar to play music from the smartphone.

Performance

We used the Fenda soundbar for a little over a week before this review and found it to be an impressive product in the market. It manages both high pitch and heavy bass effectively without distortion. The soundbar gets too loud that we our neighbor calling us twice to reduce the volume while watching The Mummy 2017.

How could we leave the bass effect unmentioned? Well, the F&D T388 soundbar has a tremendous bass effect. When the bass was at the maximum level, we could hear vibration effects from the doors and window panes. We were forced to reduce the bass level to enjoy a good audio experience. While listening to songs with heavy beats, we could feel a realistic effect due to the bass performance of this soundbar.

Verdict

Priced at Rs. 12,990, there are quite a few soundbars and speaker systems in the market, but the F&D T388 soundbar is one of the options that will not let you down in terms of its performance. This soundbar renders a good level of performance with enough loudness. We can say that this soundbar will be best suited for those who prefer to keep the volume high and love to listen to beats.
