Google Pixel Upgrade Program Launched in India: How to Get a New Pixel Every Year Without Paying Full Price

Google has introduced the Pixel Upgrade Program in India for users who want a predictable monthly payment and the option to move to a newer Pixel phone every year. Instead of paying the full price upfront, the program spreads the cost over time and adds a structured upgrade window.

Rather than treating a phone purchase as a one-time decision, Google is pitching a longer-term ownership model that builds upgrades into the buying process.

What the Program Is About

The Pixel Upgrade Program lets you buy an eligible Pixel phone on a 24-month no-cost EMI plan. Monthly payments start at ₹3,333, depending on the model you choose.

What makes it different from a regular EMI purchase is the built-in upgrade option. After paying a minimum number of EMIs, you can exchange your existing Pixel for a newer model and start a fresh EMI cycle, without handling resale on your own.

Pixel Phones Covered Under the Program

At launch, the program applies to Google’s current Pixel lineup in India. Eligible models include:

• Pixel 10
• Pixel 10 Pro
• Pixel 10 Pro XL
• Pixel 10 Pro Fold

The program is available through select offline retail stores across India.

How to Avail the Pixel Upgrade Program

Here’s how the process works from start to finish:

1. Buy an eligible Pixel phone - Purchase one of the supported Pixel models from a participating retail store using a 24-month no-cost EMI option.
2. Enroll in the Pixel Upgrade Program - Sign up on Cashify’s website within 30 days of purchasing your Pixel device.
3. Continue paying monthly EMIs - Pay your EMIs as usual. After completing nine monthly payments, you become eligible for an upgrade.
4. Initiate the upgrade within the allowed window - You can upgrade anytime between the 9th and 15th EMI. Upgrades outside this window won’t qualify for automatic loan closure.
5. Exchange your existing Pixel phone - Your current Pixel must power on and pass basic functional checks. Cosmetic wear and tear does not block eligibility.
6. Start a new EMI cycle on the new Pixel - The remaining balance on your old loan is credited back, the loan is closed, and a fresh 24-month no-cost EMI begins for the new Pixel.

Exchange Bonus and Other Details

Users enrolling in the Pixel Upgrade Program can also receive an exchange bonus of up to ₹7,000 when trading in an existing smartphone. The final amount depends on the device being exchanged.

The program is being offered in partnership with Cashify, Bajaj Finance, and HDFC Bank, and is currently available until June 30, 2026.
