How To Activate 'Google Now' From Any Launcher

The Google launcher is perhaps one of the most important and helpful application one can find on an Android Smartphone.

If you are using varied launchers then the Google Search option should be available to you on any screen you desire. Keeping this in mind you can make a few tweaks in your phone.

Step 1

First up, you'll need the Google Search App and the Google now functionality for this operation.

Step 2

If you already have Google now enabled on your smartphone, you can get to "Google Search" now using the default way on your device.

Select the user icon and tap on settings.

Go ahead and select, Voice --> Ok Google Detection --> From any screen

Step 4

The next screen you see will show you what you are about to enable. This page will let you invoke "Ok Google" from any screen. This is possible even when the phone is charging or it is locked.

Step 5

Tame your phone. You need to make sure that your phone responds only to your voice and no one else can misuse it. Say Okay Google three times and pair your voice with the phone. You are now ready to use "Google Now" from any screen of your smartphone.
