How To Install TWRP Touch Recovery on LG G4
LG has launched its much awaited flagship model LG G4 in the Indian market. This device comes with a slight curve to the screen is meant to enhance the smartphone's durability and help it survive drops to the floor without shattering the screen.
Just recently LG has officially released the bootloader unlock tool for the G4. This tool will allow the owners of LG G4 to experimenter around with the bootloader. Once you unlock the smartphone, you can flash the latest custom recovery and install custom ROMs or simply root LG G4.

LG G4 users can now install the TWRP Touch Recovery on their smartphone by following this tutorial. But, you should unlock LG G4 bootloader before installing the custom recovery.
TWRP Touch Recovery will allow you to installation custom ROM and allow you to do advanced options like formatting the system partition, creating backups and much more. Interested users can follow this tutorial and install the custom recovery on their smartphone.

Points to Remember
This installation guide is only for installing the TWRP Touch Recovery on unlocked LG G4 with model number H815. Please do not try to install this custom recovery on any other variants of LG G4 or on any other device.
Backup all the important data and additional files from the device before proceeding to installation.
LG PC Suite must be installed with full working ADB/ Fastboot before performing installation.
Bootloader should be unlocked. Note: unlocking the bootloader will void your warranty.
Before starting the installation process, download the required files from the link given below.
Download TWRP Touch Recovery 2.8.6.0
Complete Steps to install TWRP Touch Recovery on LG G4
Step 1: Connect the LG G4 to your computer using USB cable.
Step 2: Copy and past the TWRP Touch Recovery 2.8.6.0 in the android-sdk-windows\platform-tools directory.
Step 3: Now turn your smartphone into Fastboot/Bootloader mode. To enter the Fastboot mode, navigate to android-sdk-windows\platform-tools directory and open Command Prompt by holding Shift + Right-click >> Open Command Prompt.
Step 4: Type the following command and press Enter.
adb reboot bootloader
Step 5: The smartphone will now switch off and boot into the Fastboot mode.
Note: Alternatively, you can also enter the Fastboot mode by switching off the smartphone and then press and hold Volume Down and Power buttons together until yours phone starts.
Step 6: Once, your smartphone is in Fastboot mode, then type the following command and press Enter on the computer.
fastboot flash recovery twrp-2.8.6.0-h815.img
Step 7: Once completed, choose Recovery from the Fastboot menu and enter Recovery Mode.
Note: To navigate use Volume Up and Down keys.
Step 8: If you see TWRP Recovery, then the custom recovery is successfully installed on your LG G4.
Step 9: Now, select 'reboot system now' from the recovery menu.
To access Recovery Mode: Turn off your smartphone and switch on your phone by press and holding Volume Up and Power buttons together.
