The Xiaomi Mi 4i is the first company's smartphone available in India that runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system along with MIUI user interface 6 on top. Meanwhile, the MIUI is considered among the best user interface on Android for many reasons. The interface features a great color combination, attractive fonts, gestures and animations.

1. Three Finger Pinch

The Xiaomi Mi 4i doesn't come with app drawer, as the MIUI 6 keeps all the apps and widgets directly on the home screen. Xiaomi also provided an option to add more home screens in case if you want to have a separate screen for apps and widgets.

To add another home screen, just tap and pinch three fingers on your home screen and a cool animated scree will transform all the home screen into thumbernail along with an add option to add more home screen and can also rearrange them.

2. Camera Shortcuts

You might be knowing that swiping from right side on lock-screen will launch the camera. But the tricky thing is swiping from down when the camera is in use will switch to the front-facing camera.

The camera app lets you to customize and click the best images. Swiping the camera app to the left will open the presets like Panorama, timer, refocus, manual, beautify and HHT. By taping on the gear icon at the bottom of the screen will open a detailed setting of the camera app.

3. Taking Screenshot

Xiaomi Mi 41 makes it easy to capture screen shots with its built-in screen capture feature. Just press the 'Menu' and 'Volume Down' to take screenshot and the images is directly saved into the image directory.

4. Switch On LED Lights

Xiaomi Mi 4i comes with a built-in torch feature, and also easy to activate from the lock screen whenever required. You just need to long press the home button to switch on the LED light, and by releasing the home button will switch off the LED light after two seconds. But if the screen sleeps with LED on then you need to press the power button to switch off the torch.

5. Private Message Feature

The Xiaomi Mi 4i comes with an awesome feature called private message feature. To use this feature just drag down the message windows and you will see the private message windows on the screen. From this pages, you can add contacts and numbers to start the private messages.

6. Guest Mode

Xiaomi makes the Mi 4i even more secure with its Guest Mode features, that hide all your personal data. To activate the Guest Mode, go to Settings >> Privacy >> Privacy Protection and than tap of Guest Mode.

The Xiaomi Mi 4i comes with pre-installed with security app which also allows to boost the battery life of the smartphone. Navigate to Security app and click on the battery icon which opens a new page with three options such as Battery Profiles, Battery Saver and Schedule Profile Switch.

The Battery Profiles features three built-in profiles such as Default, Marathon and Sleep. The app also lets you to create your own custom battery profile.

10. Data Usage Feature

Background apps are usually one of the main reason to drains smartphone battery. But Xiaomi has come up with Data Usage feature, so that users can choose which app can consume data in the background.

To use this feature, open Security app >> Data Usage >> Restrict app data usage, now you will find all the apps that are using data in the background and you can choose the app to use data or Wi-Fi.
