How to Add a Subscription Button on Instagram and Monetize Your Account
Instagram is the world's third most-used social platform with 362.9 million active users in India. It has become a professional platform for some users, as it offers several opportunities including brand building. Instagram has also a subscription option which allows creators to monetize by offering exclusive content and benefits to their followers.
How to add a subscription button on Instagram
Here's a step-by-step guide on how to add a subscription button on Instagram.
Step 1: Go to your Instagram profile and tap Professional Dashboard.
Step 2: Tap Set up Subscriptions and then Next.
Step 3: Agree to the term and tap Next.
Step 4: You have to select your monthly price > Next > Publish > Create.

Once you enable Subscriptions, Instagram will send you a confirmation on the next screen saying your subscription is ready. Your followers will automatically be notified in 3 days in their activity feed and will also see a Subscribe button on your profile.
Instagram creators can charge Rs 85-890 per month, per user as a subscription charge, and this feature is also live in India. Creators will receive 100 per cent of this revenue minus taxes, which can also be purchased during a live broadcast. However, both Google and Apple deduct 30 per cent from these payments as a platform fee.
Notably, Instagram Subscriptions are only available for creators who meet the eligibility criteria. As per Instagram, creators must meet their Partner Monetization Policies, and remain compliant with Instagram Community Guidelines and Content Monetization Policies.
Instagram also allows you to identify your subscribers with a subscriber badge, which will appear in comments and your primary and requests folders.
