How to add image while doing a reblog on Tumblr?
Tumblr is considered to be one of the emerging social networking as well as blog hosting website that is gaining immense popularity ever since its launch. Tumblr offers users with templates as well as photos etc.
Users often will have to face situations where they will have to do a reblog on Tumblr and also add image at the time of reblog.
Users are advised to follow the below mentioned steps for adding an image while doing a reblog on Tumblr.
Once the reblogging is done, users wont be able to see the ‘Upload Photo’ link
However users can navigate towards the icon that is represented as a green tree where the users can enter the image URL, but it has to be noted that it is not possible for the users to enter the URL without uploading the photo
So all that users will have to do is to click on the drop-down menu in the dashboard and click on the ‘Private’ tab instead of ‘publish now’
By following this method, users can upload the photo to Tumblr
Users will have to click on ‘Create Post’ for saving it
Now the users can see that the photo has been successfully uploaded
But the URL has been still not updated
For the URL;
Go to ‘Posts’
Users will then have to click on the image that is present next to the ‘Private’ icon
Users will now get a bigger version of the image
Right click the image
Then the users will have to select ‘Copy Image URL’ which will give the users the required URL
Where as if the user sees a link below that says ‘High - Resolution’ in small letters, then that means that Tumblr has resized the photo much smaller so that it can be displayed in the dashboard
If the user wishes to have the high resolution image which will be bigger than the actual size displayed in the dashboard, then the users will have to click on the link
Right-click the link and select ‘Copy Image URL’
Now the users will have to navigate back towards the ‘reblog’ screen
Click on the icon that denotes little square green tree
Paste the URL in the Image URL box
The Dimensions will be automatically filled, where as it is also possible for the users to modify the dimensions manually
Finally click the ‘Insert’ option
Now the users can see that the image has appeared in the text box and users will be able to view the preview image in the reblog caption
