How to Add People to Your ‘Favorites’ on WhatsApp
WhatsApp has always been about sending personal messages to friends and family. However, many of us have been using it for work-related tasks as well. With the latest feature, the instant messaging app has now made it possible to separate personal contacts from others by introducing a new feature called 'favorites' where users can highlight their favourite contact in a dedicated window.
Users can pin frequently contacted people to the top of their WhatsApp Chats and Calls screens. This new feature will appear alongside the existing All, Unread, and Groups filters. One can also set favourites in the Calls tab for quick access. Here's how can you add your contacts to WhatsApp's 'favorites' list.

Step 1: First, open your WhatsApp and you can see the 'favorites' filter after 'Unread'.
Step 2: Now, select the 'favorites' filter, and add your contacts or groups there from the chat screen.
Step 3: Similarly, you can manage your 'favorites' from your settings. You need to go the Settings > Favorites > Add to Favorites, and you can reorder them at any time.
Step 4: You can set contacts as 'favorites' in the WhatsApp Calls tab. For that, you just need to select the 'Add favourites' option and choose the contacts.
If the 'favorites' filter is not available yet, update your app from the Google Play Store or Apple's App Store. WhatsApp said in its blog post the update will be available to everyone in the coming weeks. The company further stated ''Focusing on your favorites just got a lot easier on WhatsApp. You can quickly find the people and groups that matter most at the top of your calls tab and as a filter for your chats.
Whether it's your family group chat or your best friend, your 'favorites' will be the same across your chats and calls, so you can speed dial them from your calls tab too.''
