How to appear offline on Facebook chat to selected users?

Facebook can be considered as a platform in which users can make more friends than they can ever imagine. The friends list will vary across region as well as nationalities. But one fact is that it’s not necessary that all friends in Facebook can be considered as your best friends.

It’s for sure that users will give more preference to their limited list of best friends as well as relatives that they are more attached to. And while chatting with those relatives or close friends, any interruptions from the normal friends can be a means of disturbance for many users.

There is one way in which users can hide their online visibility on Facebook chat from any specific list of persons. By means of this method, only those relatives and friends that are close to you will know that you are logged in and the other friends won’t be able to know that the user has currently logged in.

The below mentioned steps has to be followed in a step by step manner.

Log in to the users Facebook account

Users will then have to click the ‘Friends’ tab that is represented besides the profile picture

If the users already have a friends list, then they will have to click the ‘Manage Friend List’

If the friends list is absent, click ‘Edit Friends’

Then click ‘Create a List’

A ‘Create New List’ page will be popped-up

Enter the friends list name

Then ‘Select users friends’

After that, users will have to click on ‘Create List’

Then click on ‘Chat’

On the extreme right side of the ‘Chat’ option, users can see the ‘Settings’ icon

Users will then have to click on the ‘Chat Setting’

Then click the ‘Limit Availability’ option

Now click the ‘Make me unavailable to’ button

In that, click ‘Only make me unavailable to’ button

Then the users will have to select the specified group that the users wishes to show their visibility

Finally click ‘Okay’

Procedure to unhide the Facebook Friends Chatting

Click ‘Chat’

Then click ‘Chat Settings’ icon

Select Limit Availability

Select ‘Make me available to’

Again Select ‘Make me available to’

Finally click ‘Okay’
