How To Find Your Settings In WhatsApp’s New ‘You’ Tab On iPhone And Access Privacy, Chats And Notifications
WhatsApp is testing a new “You” tab on iPhone that changes how you access your account and settings. If you’re used to tapping the Settings icon, this update might feel different at first.

What The 'You’ Tab Is
The “You” tab replaces the traditional Settings section in the bottom navigation bar.
Instead of a gear icon, you’ll now see your profile picture. Tapping it takes you to a space that combines your account details and settings in one place.
The goal here is to make the experience feel more centered around your profile rather than a generic settings menu.
How To Access The 'You’ Tab
If the feature is available on your iPhone, here’s how to use it:
- Open WhatsApp on your iPhone
- Look at the bottom navigation bar
- Tap on your profile picture (this replaces the Settings icon)
- You’ll enter the “You” section
From here, you can manage your account and access different settings.
How To Find Your Settings
Even though the layout has changed, the core options are still there.
Inside the “You” tab, you can:
- Access privacy settings
- Manage chat settings
- Check notifications
- View and edit account details
Everything is now grouped under your profile instead of being separated into a standalone settings page.
How It Helps With Multiple Accounts
If you use more than one WhatsApp account, this update makes things a bit easier.
Your profile picture in the bottom bar acts as a quick visual indicator of which account is active. This can help avoid confusion when switching between numbers on the same device.
What’s New In The Profile Page
Along with the “You” tab, WhatsApp is also testing a refreshed profile page.
You might notice a larger header-style image at the top. For now, it appears as a default visual and can’t be customized yet, though that could change in future updates.
When Will You Get It
Not everyone has access to this feature yet.
It’s currently being tested, and a wider rollout is expected in the coming weeks. If you don’t see it yet, it should arrive through a future app update.
