Here the topic deals with the iOS 5’s new integrated Twitter tools especially in iPhone.
Adding Twitter Credentials
Twitter preferences are usually found in the Settings app
Username as well as password will be automatically picked if the user already have Twitter app installed
If the app is not installed, users will have to manually enter the username as well as password
Enter the required information within the relevant boxes
Sign In
Users will have to eventually make use of at least one account for making use of the in-built Twitter tools
It is often desirable to add two accounts
Then click on Update Contacts
Update Contacts is tapped for authorizing iOS to compare the user entries in the Contacts App with that of the Twitter accounts that the user follows
For sending regular tweets, users will have to enter the contacts username that should be followed by the Tweet
It has to be noted that ‘@’ sign will be automatically preceded by default
If the user wishes to keep the message they send as private, then replace the ‘@’ with ‘D’ for sending a direct message
The photos app comes with the ability to directly tweet the user’s snaps
Images are uploaded on to the Twitter’s own servers
The images are finally stored at pic.twitter.com
For tweeting photos, the following steps have to be followed;
Open the image
Select the toolbar’s button that denotes shortcut
Now select the tweet
Users will then have to type the message that they wish to accompany with the image
-
The image will be attached to the tweet as a paper-clipped thumbnail
Users can also add the current location on to the tweets
For preventing the security risks, the feature is disabled by default
For enabling it;
Go to Settings
Click on Location Services
Swap the On/Off button beside Twitter to ON position
Search for the video that the user wishes to tweet
Click the ‘Done’ tab that is present at the top of the video window in the transport toolbar
Now the users will have to enter the name of the video for stepping back to the index page
Finally users will have to select the Share Video for calling up the usual Twitter posting options
