How To Hide Payments On Paytm And Keep Your Transaction History Private
Digital payments are convenient, but not everyone likes their entire transaction history sitting in plain sight. If you share your phone or simply prefer a cleaner payment screen, Paytm’s Hide Payments feature lets you move selected transactions out of the visible history without deleting them.

How This Feature Helps
The idea behind Hide Payments is simple. Instead of hiding the whole app or locking every section, you can choose which specific payments shouldn’t appear upfront. The hidden list stays encrypted inside the app and can be accessed anytime with a PIN or biometric unlock. Nothing is permanently removed, so there’s no risk of losing proof of payment or bank records.
This approach is helpful for people who hand over their phone briefly, manage shared expenses, or don’t want personal purchases to be visible. It can also be useful for online orders, medical payments, gifting, welfare aid, subscriptions, or anything that feels private.
How To Hide A Payment
You can hide a payment in seconds. Just follow these steps:
- Open the Paytm app
- Go to Balance & History
- Find the payment you want to hide
- Swipe left on that transaction
- Tap Hide
- Confirm by selecting Yes, Hide Payment
- The transaction will move out of the main screen
Once hidden, it won’t show up in regular scrolling or search inside your visible history.
How To Unhide A Payment
If you want to restore anything you previously hid, here’s what to do:
- Go back to Balance & History
- Tap the three-dot menu at the top
- Select View Hidden Payments
- Unlock using your phone’s PIN or biometrics
- Swipe left on the transaction
- Tap Unhide
The transaction will appear again like before and stay part of your normal list.
Why It’s Practical
The feature isn’t designed for secrecy. It’s more about personal space and choice. You can switch items in and out whenever needed, which is handy compared to deleting screenshots or maintaining separate notes.
