How to Pin More Than One Message in WhatsApp

WhatsApp is rolling out an update that allows users to pin multiple messages in both individual and group chats. This enhancement expands on the previous single message pinning feature introduced in December 2023. With the latest update, users can now pin up to three messages, providing them with a more convenient way to access important information within conversations.

How to Pin Messages

  1. Open the WhatsApp chat containing the message you want to pin.
  2. Long-press the desired message. This will bring up a menu with various options.
  3. Select the "Pin" option from the menu.
  4. Choose the pin duration: You'll be able to choose from 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days.
  5. Repeat steps 2-4 for any additional messages you want to pin (up to a maximum of 3).

Note: While you can pin text, images, and polls, there's currently no option to pin messages permanently.

Group Admins Control Message Pinning

Group chat admins now have the authority to manage message pinning within their groups. They can decide whether to reserve this feature for themselves or extend it to other group members. This new capability complements the existing feature of pinning entire chats, allowing for better organization and prioritization of messages.

Privacy Measures and Future Updates

In addition to the new pinning feature, WhatsApp has also introduced measures to enhance user privacy. Android users can now prevent the capture of screenshots of their profile pictures, with plans to extend this feature to iOS devices in the future. These privacy enhancements reflect WhatsApp's commitment to safeguarding user data and maintaining a secure messaging environment.

WhatsApp is continuously working on improving user interaction and security on the platform. The company is exploring updates that would allow for longer videos in status posts, further enhancing user engagement. These ongoing developments demonstrate WhatsApp's dedication to providing a seamless and secure messaging experience for its users.

WhatsApp Blocks Taking Screenshots of People's Profile Pics

In more WhatsApp news, the messaging app is now preventing users from taking screenshots of other people's profile pics. This feature is currently only available on Android phones, but iPhone users can likely expect it soon.
