But the fact is that one of the major problems that the users who use the laptop for a long time as well as users who enjoy gaming in their laptop is that the laptop at times get over heated. This is considered to be one of the major challenges even for the users who make use of older laptops. The article covers some tips on how we can prevent overheating in laptops.
One of the best methods in-order to reduce the over heating or thermal heating in the laptop is
Reducing the maximum processor state from the corresponding laptop’s power settings.
This reduction of the maximum processor state from the laptop can be::
By unplugging the power cable.
When it is on the battery mode.
The purpose of reducing the maximum processor state from the laptop helps in:
The performance of the processor is reduced little bit especially depending on your specified settings.
It helps in the reduction of the utilization of the maximum potential by any sort of applications or games.
Reduces the Thermal Heating.
Results in the conservation of the battery also.
The navigation in-order to reduce the maximum processor state is given as follows:
Go to Control Panel.
Go to Power Options.
Then Go to Change Plan Settings.
Click Change Advanced Power Settings.
Make sure that the High Performance option is Active.
In the new popped up window, users can find the option named Processor Power Management.
Expand Processor Power Management.
There the users can find several sub options namely Minimum Processor state as well as system cooling policy and maximum processor state.
Click Maximum Processor State.
You can see two options namely;
On-battery as well as Plugged in Power Settings.
Reduce the On-Battery specification.
Reduce the Plugged-In specification in the power settings.
The choosing of the settings is purely dependent on the user’s choice.
Finally Click OK.
By doing this, the users can reduce the over heating of the laptop considerably. This may result in a slight dip in the performance of the processor. The users should also keep in mind that keeping the On-Battery as well as Plugged-in very low results in absolutely very low performance of the processor there by resulting in undesirable levels of performance.
