How to prevent tagging one’s photos in Facebook?
Tagging can be generally defined as a means of information that describes an item and allows the users to find it by means of searching or browsing. The tags can be selected by personal means or by informal means by the creator of the item or by its viewer especially depending on the system. Tagging is nowadays considered to be an important feature for many Web 2.0 services.
The fact is that users can very well tag their photos that they have taken with celebrities and can upload it on Facebook. But the downside is that users can also find their photos tagged in Facebook which will be of no relevance to the user at all. That means that the image is spammed!
Untag photos in Facebook
Even though Facebook allows other users to tag you in a photo, Facebook at the same time has also given privileges for the user to untag the photo also.
The following steps have to be followed in order to untag photos in Facebook;
Click on to the photo that the user wishes to untag
At the bottom of your photo, you can see options such as ‘Photos. Remove Tag’ that will be represented after your name
The only thing that the users have to do is to simply select the name and remove the tag
Open your Facebook account
Navigate to the top right side of the users profile page
Now the users will have to click on to the ‘Privacy Settings’ that is present in the drop down menu
Users will now have to navigate towards the bottom of the page and will have to locate ‘Apps, Games and Websites’
Click on the ‘Apps, Games and Websites’ options
Then click on ‘Info accessible through your friends’
Finally the users will have to click on to ‘Edit Settings’
Once you click on to it, a new window will pop-up that consists of many checked as well as unchecked boxes other than the information that the users share on their Facebook
In order to stop other users tagging your photo, you will have to uncheck the box that says that ‘photos and videos I’m tagged in’
Finally the users will have to click on to the ‘Save Changes’ button
