Myspace is considered to be one of the buzz words for all the music lovers around the world. The latest news is that Myspace has introduced a new Facebook app that provides the ability for the music bands to sync their MySpace page with the Facebook Fan page.
The introduction of this app is expected to bring greater integration among the Myspace page as well as Facebook there by making it easier for the artists to maintain their digital identity. The app can be installed very easily and is considered to be very easy to use.
Users will have to follow the below mentioned steps in order to understand how the app is installed and used.
Sign in to Facebook
Users will then have to search for ‘Myspace music app’ on their Facebook
Select ‘Add to my Page’
Now users will have to connect the Myspace on to their Facebook page
Users will now be able to see the ‘MySpace page’ as a tab which is titled as ‘Music’ on their Facebook page
The page will contain almost all the songs, albums, videos, photos as well as events that is of the users choice
One of the major attraction is that when the fans listen to the tracks, the player will be opened as a pop-up which makes the user to navigate away from the page as well as continue listening
Users even have the option to upload the custom as well as clickable marquees
The theme of the app can also be edited in a way that it can be matched with Myspace page
The app is available for free download
Myspace has announced a Facebook Integration last year itself and the company is confident about its success since they believes that other start-ups don’t have the potential to attract millions of artists as well as thousands of users signing up everyday for the Myspace page.
Some of the key additions that Myspace still lacks compared to ReverbNation include;
The presence of ‘Like-for-a-track’ gate
Presence of robust stats in the app
The introduction of the app is considered to be a significant shift from Myspace being a social network as well as entertainment hub to a completely content management platform. Myspace is facing increased number of competitors within Facebook itself that includes Band Pages, ReverbNation, Topspin Media, Damntheradio and others.
This is how users can sync Myspace with Facebook pages.
