A stylus is basically a writing utensil. It can also be a computer accessory that is used to assist in navigating or providing more precision when using touchscreens. Modern day devices, such as phones, can often be used with a stylus to accurately navigate through menus, send messages etc.

However, there could come a time when your stylus gets lost due to some accident, hence leaving you devoid of the entire experience. But there are chances to make one for yourself. And here are the steps.

Step 1

In order to make your own stylus, you will need a knife or an open blade and popsickle stick.

Step 2

Use the knife and make a long point on the popsickle stick about an inch down. That should be enough to suffice on the size factor.

Step 3

Continue carving with the thin blade down the stick while also maintaining the preferred thickness. This way you should be able to carve it down to a pointed edge.

Step 4

Continue working down the stick until you feel that it looks like a stylus. You know how a regular stylus looks and it shouldn't be a big issue.

Step 5

Lastly, smooth out the popsickle stick with a knife, file, or sandpaper. You could even wrap it in tape to prevent splinters, making sure the end tip is intact. Now rub the tip of the stick on the sandpaper to make it blunt. And you have your own specialized stylus.
