Meta AI Glasses Get New Instagram Features: Spin View, Multi-Cam, and Editing Tools – How to Use
Meta has added new story formats and editing tools to Instagram for Ray-Ban Meta, Oakley Meta, and Meta Glasses users. Here's what each feature does and how to access it.

Step 1: Upload a Story Using Glasses Footage
Go to Instagram and start uploading a story the same way you normally would. When selecting footage from your gallery, look for the glasses icon on the top left of clips captured with your Meta AI glasses. Only glasses footage will have access to the new tools.
Once you reach the edit screen, tap the glasses icon among the editing tools. This opens a dedicated menu showing all the new glasses-specific features at the bottom of your screen.
Step 2: Try Spin View for an Interactive Story
Spin view is a new interactive story format. When you add it to your story, viewers can rotate their phone to pan through your full scene, rather than watching a fixed frame. It lets your audience explore the moment from your perspective as you lived it.
Step 3: Use Multi-Cam to Add a Second Perspective
Multi-cam lets you combine footage from your glasses and your phone into a single story. The tool automatically syncs clips from both sources to show two perspectives at the same time.
A practical example from Meta: show your hands at work through your glasses while simultaneously talking to your phone's front camera, giving your audience both perspectives in one synchronized view.
Step 4: Refine Your Footage With the Editing Tools
Once inside the glasses menu, you have three editing tools available:
Expand lets you reframe wide-angle glasses footage to pull focus onto a specific part of the scene, cropping out the edges to keep the action front and centre.
Audio reduces background noise and boosts your voice, useful for footage shot in crowded or noisy environments where ambient sound can drown out narration.
Speed lets you slow down or speed up your footage, useful for tutorials where you want to linger on detail, or action sequences where you want to compress time.
