OriginOS 6 Preview Live in India for Vivo X200 Pro and iQOO 13: How to Register

Update: The deadline for registration is until 8th October, 9 PM IST.

Vivo is finally opening the doors for Indian users to try OriginOS 6, its upcoming Android 16-based interface that replaces Funtouch OS. Starting today, the Preview Program is live for the vivo X200 Pro and iQOO 13, giving early adopters the chance to test the new design and AI features weeks before the official launch on October 15.

In a previous report, I wrote about how this marks a big shift for Vivo in India — with OriginOS 6 unifying global branding and ending the long-running split with Funtouch OS. You can read that breakdown here. However, if you just want to know how to get in, here’s the step-by-step guide.

OriginOS 6 Preview Live in India for Vivo X200 Pro and iQOO 13

How to Register on vivo X200 Pro

  1. Update your phone to the latest system version 15.0.14.1 or above.
  2. Go to Settings > System Update.
  3. Tap the three-dot menu in the top right corner.
  4. Select Version Trial > Closed Beta Sign-Up > View Details.
  5. Fill in the registration form and submit.

After this, Vivo’s team will review your application and let you know if you’re eligible for the preview.

How to Register on iQOO 13

  1. Make sure you’ve upgraded to system version 15.0.13.9 or later.
  2. Open Settings > System Update.
  3. Tap the three-dot menu.
  4. Select Version Trial > Closed Beta Sign-Up > View Details.
  5. Complete the registration form.

Like with the X200 Pro, iQOO will confirm if you’re selected to test the beta build.

What to Expect From OriginOS 6

Vivo is calling OriginOS 6 its smoothest and smartest Android skin yet. Built on Android 16, the update focuses on cleaner visuals, new customization tools, and AI-driven features. Highlights include:

  • Transparent themes and dynamic lighting on the lock screen.
  • New color palette system that blends UI elements into wallpapers.
  • AI Eraser upgrades, now working with live photos.
  • AI lighting effects for portraits and photos.
  • Shake-to-group sharing, expanding Vivo’s earlier touch-to-share feature.

Developers are also getting early access, which means the software should be better tuned by the time it hits more devices.

Limited Availability

There’s a catch: the preview program is restricted to the vivo X200 Pro and iQOO 13 for now. A tip suggests that even when OriginOS 6 officially launches, it may first roll out only to Vivo’s X series, leaving the A, Y, T, and even V series waiting longer. Vivo hasn’t confirmed this yet, so October 15 will be key in understanding how broad the rollout really is.
