Jio Now Offering Free Amazon Prime and Prime Lite Subscriptions With Select Fiber Plans: Here’s How to Get It

Reliance Jio is adding more value to its broadband offerings by bundling Amazon Prime and Prime Lite subscriptions with select JioFiber and JioAirFiber plans. Depending on the plan you subscribe to, users can now enjoy up to 24 months of Amazon Prime services at no additional cost.

But there’s more fine print than meets the eye. Here's a breakdown of how the offer works, who’s eligible, and what happens once the free period ends.

Two Offers, Two Variants of Prime

There are two versions of the Amazon partnership currently active:

1. Amazon Prime Lite – Available for 24 months on eligible JioFiber and JioAirFiber plans
2. Standard Amazon Prime – Offered for 12 months on select JioFiber postpaid plans

Both come at no extra charge during the promotional period. However, once that period ends, users will be charged the prevailing annual membership fee unless they cancel.

What’s Included in Each Offer?

• Amazon Prime (12 months): Full access to Prime Video, Prime Music, free fast delivery, exclusive deals, and more.
• Amazon Prime Lite (24 months): Prime Video on mobile, free two-day delivery, and access to select benefits without the full suite of Prime features.

These subscriptions are only active as long as the customer stays on an eligible JioFiber or JioAirFiber plan. Downgrading to an ineligible plan or becoming inactive will lead to automatic deactivation of the benefit.

Activation Process: What You Need to Do

To claim the offer, users need to go to the MyJio app and tap the banner for the Amazon Prime membership (Lite or standard, depending on the plan). You’ll be redirected to sign in or sign up with your Amazon account to activate the benefit.

The activation must happen through the MyJio platform or any other method officially communicated by Jio. Users will also be notified about renewal charges before the free period expires.

What Happens After the Free Period?

Once the 12-month (Prime) or 24-month (Prime Lite) period ends:

• The membership will auto-renew at the then-current price of the respective Amazon plan.
• The fee will be added to the Jio bill and is non-refundable.
• If you no longer want the service, you must opt out before the renewal date.

Jio notes that this is a one-time offer per eligible plan. Renewing the same plan won’t get you an additional free subscription period.

Offer Terms: What to Know

• The benefit is non-transferable and tied to your Jio account.
• Any misuse, such as using Prime benefits for resale or commercial purposes, may lead to termination.
• If Jio suspects fraud or violation of terms, it can revoke the offer without prior notice.
• Jio is not responsible for any issues with Amazon content or service. All disputes around content or streaming performance will need to be handled directly with Amazon.
