BGMI Crashing on iPhone? Here’s How You Can Fix the Problem for Now
If you’ve been playing BGMI on an iPhone recently, you’ve probably noticed the game isn’t running as smoothly as it should. After the 3.9 update, a lot of iOS players have reported sudden crashes, freezes, and even mic glitches mid-match.
The good news is there are a few workarounds that can help reduce the problem until Krafton rolls out an official patch.

Step 1: Log Out Before You Start Playing
The first thing you should do is log out of your BGMI account before entering a match. It sounds simple, but it helps reset the game session. Many players say skipping this step often leads to crashes in the middle of a fight or while dropping onto the map.
Step 2: Use the Routine Repair Option
Once you’re logged out, tap on the routine repair option in the game menu. This feature basically refreshes the game files and clears temporary issues. It only takes a few seconds and should be done every time before you play. Think of it as giving the game a quick reset.
Step 3: Remove Skins and Customizations
This one might sting a little if you’ve spent money on weapon or vehicle skins, but it works. For now, try playing without any custom outfits, gun skins, or car skins. These extras seem to increase the chances of the game freezing on iPhones. Going back to the default setup can make matches noticeably more stable.
Step 4: Lower the Pressure on BGMI
If crashes keep happening, minimize other background apps before starting the game. BGMI is already heavy on resources, and while iPhones like the 15 Pro Max can handle it easily, optimization issues mean the game itself is more likely to trip up if your phone is juggling too many tasks.
Leave Feedback
Players are also dropping BGMI’s rating on the App Store and Play Store to get Krafton’s attention. If you want to make your voice heard, leave a review describing the crashes you’ve faced. When enough people report the same issue, developers usually act faster.
What This Fixes—and What It Doesn’t
These steps won’t give you a 100% crash-free experience. At best, they reduce crashes from five or six per match down to one or two. That’s not perfect, but it’s enough to make the game playable until an update arrives. Problems like distorted mic audio still remain, and those will need a proper patch from Krafton.
