How to choose the right Fitness Band
Here's how you find yourself the ideal fitness band.
It could be tricky to know the differences between the fitness trackers and choose the right one for you. Choosing the right fitness tracker is based on your needs and lifestyle activities. Most fitness trackers cost between $50 and $250. Usually, the less expensive trackers will not have a display so you need to look at your smartphone to see the data. But the expensive trackers will have a display and include GPS and an optical heart rate monitor.
If you want a fitness band for primary activity like walking, you need not buy an expensive one with unwanted features. So the important thing is to know what kind of tracker will suit you based on your activities.
Types of fitness trackers
You can choose one kind of tracker based on your activities and style. Remember that bracelets and watches will be difficult to loose but clip-ons will easily fall off. Bracelets are thin and light and have a small display and LEDs for notification.
Watch fitness trackets are big and stylish. These have a large display and can be used to view activity reports. Clip-ons are discreet and you can attach them to running shoes of clothing. As these are small, you can easily miss them.
Design
Features like display, water resistance and band are important points to consider.
Display:
Clip-on trackers usually do not have a display to show the data so you should use your phone to know the activity and this could be inconvenient.
Band: These devices are usually thick and might not be the perfect ones that suit your outfit. The clip-on devices are smaller and more discreet.
Waterproof: Usually, fitness trackers are splash resistant with water repellant coating. There are fitness trackers those are waterproof and can be submerged into water making them convenient for swimming.

Health and fitness monitoring
The other features that you might consider include heart rate monitoring, activity detection, activity reports, calories burnt, sleep monitoring, smart alarm, inactivity alerts, notifications, connectivity and others.
