None of us can deny that once in our lifetime we have stalked someone or the other. Be it a friend, enemy, rival or anyone else. However, while skimming through these user profiles, Facebook can store all the search data.
One disadvantage of stalking anyone on Facebook is that the history gets stored. Although even the person you have been stalking doesn't get to know about it, anyone and everyone using your phone can find it out.
So the next time you tap on the search bar to stalk the same or the different person, Facebook automatically shows a drop down list showing the recent searches, which can lead you to a trouble if seen by others or someone who you have been stalking.
Here's how you can avoid any awkward situation with your spouse, friends or relatives with these simple steps to completely wipe out your recent Facebook search history from both web and app.
Go to View Activity Log on Your Profile Page
Log in to your Facebook account with your username and password, go to your profile page and click on 'Activity Log' or 'View Activity Log' option next to the cover image on the top right corner.
Once clicked on the 'Activity Log' option, you will see a list of your activities including which posts you liked, reacted, commented shared and others. On the same page, you will find 'More' option on the left side that falls right below the Photos, Likes and Comments sections.
Click on More option on the Activity Log page
After clicking on the Activity Log which will display the list of your activities including the posts, pictures you like, reacted, shared or commented, go down and click on the more option. Doing so, there will appear a Search tab.
Check For Your Recent Searches
In the 'Search' tab you will see a complete list of all the pages and users you searched for, which are sorted based on the time, date, month and year.
Do Clear Searches
On the Activity Log page, you can simply click on 'Clear Searches' tab on the top right corner, which will permanently delete the results of the profiles you have been stalking.
Note: Perform these steps when alone to avoid any conflict or argument.
