How to share full resolution photos via WhatsApp?
WhatsApp is undoubtedly the most popular communication app available out there. It receives regular updates, and along with those updates, it has improved a lot. We can send photos, videos, doc, gif and what not. However, when it comes to sharing photos in WhatsApp, most of us are reluctant about it. The reason being we all know the image quality deteriorates when an image is shared on WhatsApp. But that doesn’t mean that we cannot share the original full resolution image via WhatsApp.
When an image is a share, the image resolution is reduced by three times. Can you imagine the image quality that you would be sharing? Sounds horrendous right? But you need not worry; today we will tell you how you can share an image via WhatsApp without compromising with its quality.
Send the picture as a document
We all use the traditional way to share pictures on WhatsApp. We tap on the Attachment icon, then select the image from the Gallery and then send the image. The result is that though we have sent the image, the quality of it is reduced.
However, when you send an image as a document, the resolution isn't changed. It means the quality remains intact even when you are sharing it. For sharing the picture as a document, follow the steps given below:
Step 1: Tap on attachment, and then select Document.
Step 2: Click on "Browse other docs" and select the "Images" folder.
Step 3: Click on "Camera" folder and select the image that you want to send and then hit "Send."
Congrats! You have no shared the image in its original resolution on WhatsApp.
Zip The Images
The above method will work fine when you have to send few images. But the method can prove to be tiring if you need to share many images via WhatsApp without losing its quality. So, when you need share many images without any compromise, zip them in a file. You can use apps like Solid Explorer File Manager to do that.
When you have installed the app, select the images that you want to share and then select archive. When you do this, you will be creating an archive, and you have to select a format for it. You can select the Zip format. After selecting the format, rename the archive and tap on Create. After a couple of minutes, your Zip file will be ready.
Now that your Zip file is ready, you can share it via WhatsApp by attaching it to a document. Voila! You have successfully sent many images together in its original resolution. The receiver has to unzip the file to see all the shared images on WhatsApp. And trust me there won't be any complaints about the image resolution.
Wrap Up
WhatsApp is the most used messaging app, and when it comes to sharing pictures, it is the first app that comes to our mind. Now that you know how to share full resolution photos via WhatsApp, we hope that you will be able to enjoy sending them.
