If you are still using the old version of Windows 7 or 8 with the shortfall of updates, then it's time for your computer to run Windows 10. Many people who use Windows 7 or 8, XP or Vista would have noticed the problem.

How To Ensure Your Computer Can Run Windows 10

You won't be able to update any longer. Automatically, the security software will take up the destructive software. Antivirus tools will not sort out the issues related to the OS. It's only the OS developer who resolves all the issues.

When you are upgrading to Windows 10, the operating system has to be monthly updated. Security updates will help you to protect all your data and online activities that are stored on your computer. This is the best proposal given from Microsoft. Windows 10 has come up with the little system requirement which is similar to the Windows Vista era (2007) and makes an ideal upgrade of the Operating system.

System requirements for the Windows 10

Microsoft's specification page has confirmed the requirements to run Windows 10 on your current computer hardware. If your present hardware matches will these values, then you can run Windows 10 on your system.

• RAM: 2 gigabyte (GB) for 64-bit or 1 GB ( gigabyte) for 32-bit

• Display: 800x600

• Processor: SoC or 1 GHz ( gigabyte) or a fast processor

• Hard disk space: 20 gigabytes (GB) for 64-bit OS or 16 gigabytes ( GB) for 32-bit OS

• Graphics card: Direct X9 or WDDM 1.0 driver

Ways to check your system can run Windows 10

One of the easiest ways to check if your system is compatible with Windows 10 is by running the OS in a virtual machine. The Virtual box will guide you to install Windows 10 on your system. Another way, press the Start button, and type sys. In the displayed screen, click on system information and compare the minimal system requirements of Windows 10.

When the requirements are matched, upgrade to the faster, larger hard disk drive (HDD) for better performance of the computer. The older version of HDD will not be able to perform well with the latest OS. So before upgrading, consider replacing a hard disk drive (HDD).

Different options when you can't run Windows 10

There are three choices when your computer is not suitable for Windows 10.

1) Consider to buy a new computer- This is the simplest option even though it is expensive. There is availability for Windows 10 computers of various price tags in the market. Visit the near local computer store and buy the best one suitable for you.

2) Recognize the upgradeable hardware and replace it- All the PC's and laptops have an upgrade option. A new processor, a latest hard disk drive and a new memory can be upgraded for the desktop computers. Laptop users can upgrade by adding RAM and replacing hard disk drive for increased, improved storage. If you're not experienced with the computer upgrades, then buying a new one is the smarter choice.

3) Install alternative Operating System- Well, when you can't update your operating system, then choose for a different operating system that is available in the market such as Linux family.

Once your computer is compatible with the latest operating system, it's a good time to try out Windows 10. Windows 10 can be installed using a DVD or USB. When you have upgraded and installed the full version, make time to back-up all your data and online activities.
