How to Unlock Up to 34% More FPS on Your AMD X3D Build With GIGABYTE's New BIOS Feature
If you're running an AMD Ryzen X3D processor on a GIGABYTE X3D Series motherboard, there's a good chance you're leaving performance on the table. GIGABYTE's X3D Turbo Mode 2.0 is a BIOS-level feature that can push noticeably more out of your CPU in both gaming and productivity workloads, and it requires zero manual tuning to set up.

What Is X3D Turbo Mode 2.0
AMD's X3D processors use 3D V-Cache, which stacks extra cache on top of the CPU die for faster data access. That's already why X3D chips perform well in games. X3D Turbo Mode 2.0 takes that further by optimising how the processor and motherboard communicate in real time.
It runs through GIGABYTE's Dynamic OC Engine alongside a dedicated onboard hardware controller. Instead of just pushing the chip harder like traditional overclocking, it adjusts performance behaviour based on what your system is actually doing at any given moment. The result is more consistent gains without compromising stability.
What Kind of Gains Can You Expect
Based on GIGABYTE's internal testing, the numbers are significant in gaming:
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 — up to 34% higher FPS, averaging 382 FPS
- Cyberpunk 2077 — up to 25% improvement, averaging 297 FPS
- Battlefield 6 — up to 21% gain, averaging 296 FPS
- Counter-Strike 2 — up to 12% boost, averaging 816 FPS
On the productivity side, Cinebench R24 Multi-Thread scores improved from 2,247 to 2,556, a 13.8% jump.
Keep in mind these are GIGABYTE's own benchmark numbers. Real-world results will depend on the rest of your build, your specific X3D chip, and the games you're playing.
How to Enable It
X3D Turbo Mode 2.0 is enabled directly through the BIOS on supported GIGABYTE X3D Series motherboards. There's no software to install or settings to configure manually. Just enter your BIOS, look for the X3D Turbo Mode option, and switch it on.
Does Your Board Support It
The feature works with AMD Ryzen 7000, 8000, and 9000 Series X3D processors. On the motherboard side, it's supported across GIGABYTE's full X3D Series lineup, including the X870E AORUS XTREME X3D AI TOP, X870E AORUS MASTER X3D, X870E AORUS PRO X3D, X870E AORUS ELITE X3D, X870E AERO X3D, X870E EAGLE X3D WIFI7, and the X870 AORUS ELITE X3D, among others. Day-0 support for the latest AMD Ryzen X3D chips is included across all supported boards.
If your board is on that list and you have a compatible X3D processor, you're good to go.
