How to pay using UPI on Amazon India
E-commerce tech giant Amazon has introduced Unified Payment Interface (UPI) as a mode of payment through its app. This payment method is available only on the app and not on the desktop sites. Users can make payment through UPI if the value of the transaction is around Rs. 10,000 or lesser. With this move, Amazon India has joined its competitors including Flipkart and Paytm.
From now on, the customer who makes purchases via Amazon app will get an option to make their payment using their UPI ID along with other modes including debit cards, credit cards, and net banking. As of now, this option is available only on the Android and will be rolled out to iOS in the future updates.
When it comes to refund, the process is similar to that of paying through cards, where the amount is credited to the bank account linked with UPI ID. To reiterate, Unified Payment Interface is a payment method that facilitates instant fund transfer between two bank accounts without adding any details of the beneficiary’s bank.
